BIG CUPAR TIDY – ROOFTOP PROJECT

Calling all residential and commercial property owners on the Bonnygate, St Catherine’s Street and the Crossgate in Cupar. Please read below – we are offering an opportunity for discounted roof repairs on your properties!

This is a community organised scheme and not direct sales.

Cupar Development Trust have been made aware that there are many properties on these streets that may benefit from gutter clearing, removal of roof vegetation and minor roof repairs. We can now offer a scheme which we hope will be able to help many property owners worried about the potential cost of repairs.

As part of our Community Action Plan, the regeneration and repair of the town centre properties was identified as an urgent priority for Cupar.  We have managed to secure assistance from the wonderful staff at Fife Council, who are willing to lend us, free of charge, a cherry picker capable of accessing the high rooves on these streets. A local professional roofer has offered to use this to carry out substantially discounted roof repair work on Sundays when we have the loan of the high level cherry picker – this means that any roof work will be substantially cheaper than it would be normally. We also have access to free use of a drone to conduct ariel roof surveys, again thanks to the wonderful teams at Fife Council – which makes quotations more accurate and allows property owners to view any issues encountered.

If you are interested in receiving a no-obligation quote from a professional roofer for discounted work such as gutter clearing, vegetation removal and minor roof repairs, please come to our public meeting for the Big Cupar Tidy project. This will take place at

7pm on Thursday the 25th July in the Castlehill Community Centre, Cupar.

If you cannot attend the meeting but are interested, please email Mrs Anja Armstrong on development@cupardevtrust.org.uk with your name and contact details and we will get back to you with more details.

We strongly encourage property owners to take advantage of the subsidised roofing work – this opportunity is unlikely to arise again in the future.

With best wishes,

Cupar Development Trust
